Project Updates
August 29, 2024
The new DPW/School Maintenance Facility construction is going well. Our Contractor, G&R Construction, is making good progress and the expected completion for all work is September 2025.
They will be pouring the slab for one portion of the building on Friday August 30, 2024. Due to the size and complexity of the slab pour, the contractor will be mobilizing equipment at 6:30 am on that day. We don’t anticipate significant noise with their preparations. We normally would not allow this work prior to 7 am, but the early start is being done due to the length of time it will take to pour and finish the slab. Additionally, it is important that they saw-cut the slab the following day. They will be working on Saturday August 31st starting at 8 am. There will be some minor noise associated with the saw cutting, which is expected to take a few hours to complete. They will then be installing curing blankets on the concrete slab before leaving the site for the day around noon. We understand that this temporary disruption may impact our neighbors and ask for your patience during this stage of the process.
