Easement Well Fields

This property, known as Easement Well Fields, was established in the 1950s as part of the water supply for the growing Town of Tewksbury. There were three operating pump houses. Two of the buildings are still there, but were taken off-line years ago. This area is now protected conservation land for passive recreation for the public.

Within the Easement Well Fields, the Heath Brook Overlook Trail offers a beautiful stroll through mature woodlands. The property encompasses 48 acres and is home to a plentiful and varied wildlife population. The brook and wetlands are home to otters, beavers, great blue herons, waterfowl and other aquatic life, while fox, possums, deer and other critters reside in wooded areas.
