Conservation Commission
The Conservation Commission is responsible for administering the Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act and the Tewksbury Wetlands Protection Bylaw. They are also responsible for the protection and management of Tewksbury’s Conservation Land and Open Space. The Commission’s goal is to protect wetland resource areas and their buffer zones, which contribute to the protection of public, private, and groundwater supply, flood control, pollution prevention, storm damage prevention, and protection of wildlife and their habitats.

Proposed Tewksbury Wetland Protection Bylaw & Regulations Update
01-18-2024: A second virtual meeting aimed at informing Tewksbury residents on the proposed updates to the Tewksbury Wetland Protection Bylaw and its associated regulations was held on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
