2nd Annual Junior Police Academy

Chief Columbus is pleased to announce the Tewksbury Police Department will be offering the 2nd annual Junior Police Academy for incoming 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders who are interested in learning more about law enforcement.   Due to the tremendous success of last year’s program, the Tewksbury Police Department is excited to be offering this free program again this year. This year’s program will run from July 18th -22nd, depending on the number of applicants we receive we may offer a 2nd Academy week which would run July 25th -29th.     The Academy will be held at the Tewksbury Memorial High School and run from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The topics will include: PT/physical training, health and wellness classes, Criminal Law, Investigations, Cyber Safety, CPR and first aid, dangers of drugs and alcohol, Domestic Violence, Motor Vehicle Law, K9 unit, Drone Unit, Court, Mental Health and many hand-on activities. Applicants must be Tewksbury residents. Spots will be granted on a first come first serve basis. We look forward to providing the attendees a fun, safe and educational experience.
