Massachusetts State Building Code requires inspections to be called in 24 hours before and allows the inspector up to 72 hours to perform the inspection. However, we try to perform all building inspections within 24 hours of call in. Be aware that staff seminars and meetings do affect timeframes and you should plan ahead.
Building Inspectors inspect Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Plumbing / Gas
The Licensed Plumber must call before Noon of the day the inspection is wanted. The inspection will be done that day after 2:00 pm. Any change in time will be noted when you call in. *** TEMPORARY CHANGE: 3/31/26-4/30/26 PLUMBING/GAS INSPECTIONS WILL START AT 8AM.
The Plumbing Inspector inspects Monday through Thursday only.
Wiring
Inspections will be done roughly between 8-10 am. Any change in time will be noted when you call in. Electrician to be on site for FINAL inspections.
